Visa Information

Most foreign nationals traveling to the U.S. for ISA International Sign Expo 2026 will require a visa. We strongly recommend registering early to secure your Letter of Invitation, as these can only be issued after your registration is completed.

Some travelers may be exempt from visa requirements under the Visa Waiver Program, so please check your eligibility before applying.

Visa Interview Tips

Take early action to avoid delays by applying for visas and scheduling any required interviews as soon as possible. Your passport must be valid for at least six months beyond your planned departure date.

When you submit your application and upload your required photo, you should include any electronic materials you receive from ISA Sign Expo 2026 to prove the trade show is a legitimate business event. Please remember to print out your application form confirmation page and bring it with you to your interview.

Schedule your U.S. Embassy or Consulate appointment as soon as you receive your visa letter of invitation, as wait times in some countries may be longer. Check the estimated visa wait time for your country at a U.S. Embassy or Consulate.

The visa application process involves several steps that may vary in order and execution depending on your country of origin. Please consult the instructions available on the U.S. Embassy or Consulate website for your specific country.

You may improve your chances of receiving visa approval if you travel with an official delegation organized by your local U.S. Embassy or Consulate. If you are interested in joining a delegation, contact your local U.S. Embassy or Consulate and check if the Commercial Trade Specialist is organizing a delegation to ISA International Sign Expo 2026.

The implementation of a new $250 “integrity fee” (adjusted annually for inflation) is currently on hold. We recommend submitting your visa application immediately to avoid this upcoming cost. Once implemented, this fee will apply to all non-immigrant visa holders (including meeting attendees), except Canadian citizens and travelers from the 40+ Visa Waiver Program countries.

Travelers will be eligible for reimbursement after the visa expires, given they don’t overstay the visa expiration date by more than five days or engage in unauthorized work. Details about how to apply for reimbursement are forthcoming. More information here.

The Consulate Officers conducting visa interviews often look for proof that you will return to your country. Evidence of “strong ties” includes proof of business ownership or employment, social, and family relationships.

If you have traveled to the U.S. previously, provide documentation demonstrating you returned to your country on time. Showing proof that you returned within the timeframe you stated on previous trips will help you get your visa approved. For example, use an airline boarding pass that shows your return flight, or meeting materials that demonstrate attendance at a business conference.

Including any printed or electronic event materials you receive from ISA Sign Expo 2026 with your application helps to prove the trade show is a legitimate business event, potentially boosting your ability to secure a visa.
