Never Stop Learning Contest™

The Never Stop Learning Contest is the world’s most fun and most educational wrap contest. It is hosted by world renowned installer/trainer Justin Pate and run by the team at The Wrap Institute. It takes place in the center of the ISA Sign Expo within The Wrap Experience area.

The contest is free to enter and open to all levels of installers – from true beginners to experts. In essence, all the competitors get a personalized workshop with a leading wrap trainer. At the end of the round, the team that gets the most points and answers the most questions correctly wins a prize! This year the prizes total over $50,000!

Here’s how the contest works:

In each round, 3 competitors are put into a team with the top trainer from one of our material sponsors. Each round is 75 minutes long. During this time, the trainer teaches their group how to wrap a specific object with digital print, color change, cut vinyl or PPF. This year the objects to wrap over the course of the 3-day show are:

Each round will be judged by our 2024 guest judges, Jim Miller of Miller Decals and Austin Smith of the Paint is Dead network. Teams are judged on the quality of the wraps as well how much they learned about the material from that brand from their trainers. The team that has the best quality and learned the most wins!

Andrew is an owner of Performance Wrap in Dayton OH, which opened in 2018. Tanor and Andrew, offer a fresh perspective as entrepreneurs and you’ll notice the shop runs a bit different from others. The shop is centered around creating a fun and positive work environment for all staff as well as an emphasis on continued education in vinyl wrapping as a skill. Simply put, we love being your ‘nerdy’ wrap shop. The science behind the adhesive properties of vinyl is a lot more extensive than you would think and we make sure to stay up to date. He is Avery Dennison certified in vinyl vehicle wraps, both color change, and commercial wraps. He is formally trained by Hexis for Paint Protection Film (clear wraps) installations.

Dimas Brazil

Dimas was born in Brazil in 1983 and has been a wrapper for 20 years. The last 10 years he has taught wrappers to work smarter and not harder.  He has been a TWI Endorsed Trainer since 2018 and enjoys helping people improve their skills on car wrapping. He is always seeking out ways to perfect his technique and to share his knowledge of wrapping wherever he goes.  Traveling around the world he has been able to learn more and more from different professionals.  Dimas has participated in shows and competitions in America and Europe and he never stops learning.

Rainer Lorenz

The Wrap Institute

Rainer began his journey as a professional wrapper 18 years ago. In 2003, he began his own wrapping business, and two years later, began tinting as well. In 2016, Rainer became an Avery Dennison Specialist Trainer for wrapping, and two years later, became an Avery Dennison Specialist Trainer for both tinting and PPF. At this time in his life, he also began making videos for The Wrap Institute and became a Masters of Branding member. Furthermore, he has been merited 3M DiNoc and GEWA certifications. In addition to being a certified trainer, he is an Avery Dennison Specialist Installer and an Avery Dennison Specialist Converter. Rainer is driven by the desire is to link what people achieve and what they believe they deserve, and his passion is to inspire and empower others by helping them discover their potential.

Krystal is the owner of Candy Wraps in Tampa, FL. After spending nearly a decade as a freelance installer in over 150 shops across the world, Krystal recognizes the vital connection between shops and installers requiring clear communication, understanding and an overall passion for what we do in this industry. Chad Parrish

Graphiti Wraps

Chad Parrish, a Certified Graphics Installer, Avery Dennison CWI Trainer, 3M Authorized Trainer, President of Graphiti Wraps, Co-Owner of Wrap Mafia tools, began his career in 1998 working in a local digital print shop where he found himself running a vinyl plotter and installing vehicle graphics. It wasn't long after, he got his hands tangled in vinyl, learning different materials, what each of those materials could do, and which ones were best for what applications. During this time he earned his bachelors in Business Admin/Marketing, while his passion grew for a vehicle wrap industry, that was just about to evolve.

Justin Pate

The Wrap Institute

Justin Pate is an Avery Dennison CWI trainer and 3M Certified graphics instructor/installer who specializes in wrap training for all substrates - walls, floors, windows and primarily vehicles. Justin began car wrapping in 1996 in New York City and, in 2007, moved to Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Over his 22-year career, Justin has wrapped over 3000 vehicles, a majority of them by himself. By closely studying the vehicle graphic installation process, Justin created a highly efficient car wrapping platform called UGIS: Universal Graphic Installation System. UGIS is the basis for the workshops he teaches throughout the world. On January 1, 2014, Justin launched his streaming video platform - The Wrap Institute. TWI has over 1700 videos at over 400 hours. The video library covers all aspects of installation techniques: cars, walls, windows, tinting, floors, electronics and much more.

Marcelo Santos is a dynamic leader in the Color Change, Commercial Wrap, Paint Protection Film, Graphics, and Sign industry, boasting over a decade of experience since 2005. Hailing from Brazil, Marcelo embarked on a transformative journey to the United States in 2016, where he co-founded Eagle Signs & Wraps in Woodstock, GA, alongside his wife and cousin. His entrepreneurial spirit and dedication to quality have propelled the company to success. In addition to his professional accomplishments, Marcelo speaks English, Portuguese, and Spanish, enabling him to effectively communicate and connect with clients and colleagues across diverse cultural backgrounds. Since 2020, Marcelo has also become a Certified Trainer for Hexis. This prestigious role has seen him traveling across North America and Latin America, sharing his expertise and certifying numerous installers.
